Tourism is a big part of many states income; many countries really depend and need the money that they generate. And the effects of climate change on tourism in recent years has been limited. This does not in any way mean that there is nobody going on vacations, but people are now watching the news to see the weather and the area’s that have had many tropical storms and hurricanes are understandably being avoided. The effects of climate change on tourism in recent years is not as dramatic as it is going to be in the coming years. We haven’t seen anything yet compared to what it will be like and every year is getting worse because the heat is continuing to rise at alarming rates. This can be damaging to the high tourist area’s around the world, so what will happen to Europe and Italy that depend greatly on tourism will they crumble financially. It’s a scary thought that is a real concern. The weather isn’t going to get better it’s only predicted to get worse, and this is apparent when you hear about the increase of tropical storms and the intensity that has never been experienced before. Who would want to take those risks when there are many places that you can take your vacation to that will not risk your life or put you directly in front of danger unnecessarily? I know that I don’t, and I can guarantee that many people don’t either. The effects of climate change on tourism in recent years is not so dramatic but it definitely is not what it used to be, and certain countries and area’s are feeling the grunt of it, and the fact that the economy has really gone down doesn’t help tourism either. Just think about how many areas will be greatly affected when the winters become warmer and shorter. The ski resorts will be hit hard. Let’s not forget that the waters are expected to evaporate into the air because of the heat, beaches and the hotels around them will experience empty rooms day after day. These are not imaginary thoughts it can and may very well be in our future. Of course that is not the problems that we are currently facing, and it may not be something that many of us will see in our lifetime. But this is a reality for the future or tourism. The effects of climate change on tourism in recent years is lower than it was as I mentioned above, but plan on things getting worse for specific countries over the next few years.
